At DarkPark, it's not about what we've dreamed up, but about what happens when you walk through our door. The stories we tell only come alive once you become part of them. We're curious about you, and we try, in our own small way, to help you discover who you are. If we've done our job, you walk in as someone else and walk out as yourself.

GIJS GEERS

Founder and creative mind

At the head of this remarkable bunch of people is Gijs. Every project starts with a tiny spark of inspiration somewhere in that unfathomable head of his. As the founder and creative mind behind DarkPark, he's always looking for ways to let people experience something they've never experienced before. His strength lies not just in dreaming up new worlds, but above all in sensing what really moves people. He sets the course, sets the tone, and knows like no other how to build an experience out of nothing that stays with you. Maybe even one that changes your life.

EELCO CLAASSEN

Creative partner, music and design

Eelco has been Gijs's regular creative partner for years. He started out as composer and graphic designer for DarkPark, but has since become an indispensable part of our creative team in countless ways. Where Gijs sets a direction, Eelco sometimes deliberately strays from it. He's a master at thinking off the beaten track, because that's exactly where the magic tends to hide. His music, design and feel for atmosphere give every experience that recognizable DarkPark magic.

TINEKE LOPULALAN

Planning and organization

Tineke brings order to the chaos. Creativity can shoot off in every direction, but Tineke makes sure it all comes together in the end. She's the one holding all the threads. She plans, organizes and creates order in a place where ideas pile up at high speed. Thanks to her, there's room for creativity without it running off the rails. She keeps things running, from the first brainstorm to the opening of a new room. She gets help from our indispensable location managers, who make sure everything on the floor keeps running smoothly so the creative minds can do their thing.

THE LOCATION MANAGERS

At every location, a location manager is at the helm. They make sure everything on the floor runs flawlessly, that the game hosts are well prepared and ready to go, and that every room looks perfect, day after day. That way, the creative minds are free to do their thing, and you can lose yourself completely in your adventure.

And then there's the team that's ready every day to welcome our guests: the game hosts. They make sure you feel welcome, pick up on any nerves or doubts, and tune in to your energy. They guide you with care and attention, so you can experience the story the way it was meant for you.
