That depends on the day and on the number of players. Our escape rooms are cheaper on weekdays (Monday to Thursday) than on weekends (Friday to Sunday), simply because the weekend time slots are the most popular.

Yes! With the DarkPark Gift Card, you give an adventure as a gift. Whoever receives it gets to choose when to come and with how many people, and the gift card is valid at all our locations. Order a gift card.

The Dentist and Freakshow are suitable for ages 14 and up. Our other escape rooms are officially for ages 16 and up, but we make an exception for kids from the age of 14, as long as at least 1 adult comes along to supervise.

Kids these days have seen a thing or two, so even though our escape rooms are pretty thrilling, we can say with full confidence that every kid will have a blast. Chances are the adults will scream louder than the younger players!

You play with 2 to 6 players per escape room. If you want the best possible experience, we recommend coming with a team of 4. Escape rooms are a unique kind of private entertainment: you get a special, personal experience that is nothing like the mass attractions you'd visit at a theme park, for example. Trust us, in this case less really is more!

The fire department wouldn't allow it anyway, so we dutifully stick to the limit of 6 players at a time. That way everyone stays safe and you get the best possible experience.

The tension gets cranked up quite a bit during the game, so if you're heavily pregnant or have a very weak heart, you may want to ask yourself whether playing is wise.

In most of our escape rooms you have to crawl or climb a little, which is why those are unfortunately not suitable for people in a wheelchair. People with reduced sight or limited hearing can take part, as long as at least 1 participant with full sight and hearing is present.

It's important to realize that we use very loud sounds and creepy imagery. This can be quite overwhelming for people with visual, auditory or mental impairments. On each room's page, you'll find exactly what you need to be able to do in that escape room.

An escape room is not a small, claustrophobic box. The average escape room is bigger than your own living room, and at DarkPark you roam through entire buildings, an abandoned hotel or a mysterious orphanage. Think less cubicle and more film set, where every room is a new chapter in your story. Now and then you may briefly have to pass through a somewhat narrower passage, but safety and fun always come first.

In our experience, almost everyone who tells us beforehand that they're claustrophobic has forgotten all about it the moment the game starts. And if you stop enjoying it after all, you can leave the game at any time.

In our escape rooms, we sometimes create the illusion that you're locked in. In reality, you can leave the escape room whenever you want, and in an emergency with the emergency stop found in every room. On top of that, there's supervision from outside at all times through cameras and microphones. All our escape rooms fully comply with the legal safety requirements.

Scary? You bet! Secretly, that's what you were hoping for, right?

Make no mistake: our escape rooms are not a haunted house. At DarkPark, we're never out to give you gray hairs; we find personal growth far more interesting. We push you a little bit out of your comfort zone, so you feel alive again, but we never cross the line. Fun-scary, we call it.

That depends on the escape room: in some rooms an actor plays along, in others you won't meet a living soul. On the Escape rooms page, you'll find which rooms have an actor.

We don't work with 16-year-old temps in a costume from the party store who jump out of a dark corner when you least expect it, but with trained actors who sense exactly what it takes to build the tension in a fun way. The advantage of an actor is that we can respond to what you need and what you can handle. If we notice you're not at ease, we keep our distance. You can always count on that at DarkPark.

Everyone who has experienced it agrees that an actor is almost always a huge plus. So if in doubt, we say: go for it!

Our goal is to give you a great time. We create our escape rooms and puzzles in such a way that, above all, they're fun. Of course there's the occasional tough brainteaser, but at DarkPark you'll never run into unsolvable puzzles. What good is it to us if you get stuck? We want you to enjoy yourself!

Our game hosts watch along through cameras to help you at tricky moments. If you do happen to get stuck somewhere, we give you just that subtle nudge in the right direction, so you can carry on. So you don't need any experience: everyone gets stuck in an escape room at some point, and that doesn't mean you're dumb, it means you look at things in your own unique way.

Then so be it. Of course it feels great to make it out of the room within the time, but that's not the goal. The goal is for you to have a good time, and we'll make sure of that no matter what. We help you get the most out of the adventure.

It's a bit of an old idea that escape rooms are only about escaping as fast as possible. What a waste! You'd miss all the beautiful details we worked so hard on. Enjoyment is the keyword!

Usually not. In an escape room you have to solve puzzles to move forward, and that gets pretty tricky in pitch darkness. At DarkPark, everything revolves around the experience. That means we sometimes dim the lights a little, or even turn them off for a moment, but there's always a reason for it in the story and it never lasts long.

One exception is Into the DarkVerse: there, you have to find your way in the pitch dark.

An escape room at DarkPark lasts 60 minutes. Your adventure starts and ends with us in good company, with a drink and a snack, so count on staying a bit longer.

Wear something you feel comfortable in and can move around in easily. In many of our escape rooms you have to crawl or climb a little, so we don't recommend a three-piece suit or towering stilettos.

In Freakshow, The End and Rise of the Phoenix you can get wet, and in Rise of the Phoenix dirty too: leave your new shoes and your jewelry at home for those. On each escape room's page, you'll find what's best to wear for that room.
