Make no mistake, The End is not a haunted house. At DarkPark we’re never out to give you gray hairs—we find personal growth far more interesting. We push you just a little bit out of your comfort zone so you can feel alive again, but we never cross the line!

That being said, it’s important to realize that The End escape game is indeed a very intense escape room. It’s not a cozy room with puzzles. A grim atmosphere is created and the tension keeps building throughout. It never becomes overwhelming, and if at any point you’re no longer enjoying yourself, you can always leave the game. In practice, however, we find that players enjoy it far too much to stop early.

Our advice? Just surrender to it. Often, it’s the things that scare us a little that end up becoming our favourite memories.

Alright then, yes there is indeed an actor in the escape room The End in Zoetermeer, but trust us, you’re going to love it!

We don’t work with 16 year old temps in a party store costume that jump at you from a dark corner when you don’t expect it, but with trained actors that get a precise feel for what’s needed to ramp up tension in a fun way. All our visitors believe the actor to be of immense added value, adding an extra layer to the experience, and not someone that’s only out to scare them like they expected beforehand.

Of course, we can’t promise you won’t get startled a few times, but if you don’t enjoy a bit of fun suspense, you’d be better off signing up for a knitting class.

If you’re truly claustrophobic, it’s best to stay away from anything to do with boxes; elevators, payphones, shoe boxes, and, in a way, escape rooms. Our experience, however, is that almost everyone who says beforehand that they’re claustrophobic immediately forgets about it once the game has started. You immediately get swept up by the experience and forget your fears.

That being said, we have to admit that there are moments in The End escape room that might be quite intense for people who are truly claustrophobic. So far, we haven’t had anyone who didn’t enjoy it, but you’ve been warned.

During the game, the tension builds up quite a bit, so if you’re heavily pregnant or have a very weak heart, you might want to reconsider whether it’s wise to visit The End.

During The End escape room, you’ll need to do a bit of crawling, which unfortunately makes this escape room unsuitable for people in a wheelchair.

People with impaired vision or limited hearing can still take part in The End, as long as there is at least one participant with full sight and hearing in the team.

It’s important to be aware that our escape room in Zoetermeer, The End, makes use of very loud sounds and frightening imagery. This may be very overwhelming for those with visual, auditory, or mental disabilities.

What you wear while playing The End doesn’t matter all too much. You won’t (or at least shouldn’t) get dirty, or have to exert a ton of effort. You may need to do a bit of crawling or get slightly wet, so we wouldn’t recommend wearing a three-piece suit. Just wear something you feel comfortable in that lets you move around well.

Sorry, no. The ideal (and maximum) number of players for The End is 6. We can’t reveal why just yet, but once you’ve played The End, you’ll understand why 6 players really is the limit.

In actuality, you can exit the escape room at any time by using the emergency stop present in every room in case of emergencies. There’s also constant supervision from outside via cameras and microphones placed throughout the escape room. All of our escape rooms completely abide by the legal requirements in terms of safety.
