You’re in the dentist’s waiting room. There’s a painting of a sad little boy on the wall, an old lamp in the corner casting a grim light on the fancy wallpaper, and a radio playing classical music on a little side table. You hear stomping noises behind the door, then the piercing whirring of a dental drill, followed by a chilling scream not long after. The music coming from the radio seems to get louder and louder in a desperate attempt to drown out the screaming, but in vain. Your hands are clammy with sweat, are you next? Suddenly, the door opens…
In the escape room called The Dentist at DarkPark Delft you’ll be locked up in, you guessed it…the horrifying workshop of a murderous dentist.
Search through the patient files, inspect the dentist’s chair, look for dental tools to solve difficult puzzles, but most of all, make sure you escape the room in time, or else…
While you’re trying to escape, a gruesome story will unravel itself. Who is this man that calls himself The Dentist? What happened in this practice space? Why are there leather straps on the dentist’s chair and what on earth is hidden in that freezer?
One thing is for sure, after a visit to The Dentist you’ll be a lot less scared of your own dentist…or maybe even more so!

Make no mistake, The Dentist escape room is not a haunted house. At DarkPark we’re never out to give you gray hairs, we find personal growth far more interesting. We push you just a little bit out of your comfort zone so you can truly feel alive again, but we never cross the line!
We call it fun-scary.
That being said, it’s good to realize that The Dentist is indeed a very intense escape room. It’s not a cozy room with puzzles. A grim atmosphere is created and the tension keeps building throughout. It never becomes overwhelming, and if at any point you’re no longer enjoying yourself, you can always leave the game. In practice, however, we find that players enjoy it far too much to stop early.
Our advice? Just surrender to it. Often, it’s the things that scare us a little that end up becoming our favorite memories.
Do you really want to know? Alright then; there’s no actor in The Dentist. The only interaction you’ll have with other people is before and after with the game master, and during the game with your own teammates of course, but hopefully you can trust them 😉
That doesn’t mean this escape room isn’t intense. You might not run into any living people, but we’re not saying you’ll be entirely alone either…
During the game, the tension builds up quite a bit, so if you’re heavily pregnant or have a very weak heart, you might want to reconsider whether it’s wise to visit The Dentist.
While playing The Dentist you’ll have to climb and crawl a short distance, making this escape room unfit for those in a wheelchair, unfortunately. If you have limited mobility or are using crutches but can still move around reasonably well, then in theory it’s possible to escape from The Dentist escape room.
People with impaired vision or limited hearing can still take part in The Dentist, as long as there is at least one participant with full sight and hearing in the team.
It’s important to be aware that The Dentist escape room makes use of very loud sounds and frightening imagery. This may be very overwhelming for those with visual, auditory, or mental disabilities.
What you wear while playing The Dentist doesn’t matter all too much. You won’t (or at least shouldn’t) get dirty, or have to exert a ton of effort. You may need to crawl or climb at certain points, so we don’t recommend wearing a three-piece suit or towering high heels. Just wear something you feel comfortable in that lets you move around well.
No. Actually, if you want the best possible experience, we strongly recommend coming with a team of four. Escape rooms are a unique form of private entertainment. You’ll get a special, personal experience, nothing like the mass attractions you’d find in a theme park. Trust us, in this case, less really is more.
The fire department doesn’t allow it either, so we stick to the limit of 6 players per game. That way, everyone stays safe and you get the best possible experience!

In the escape room The Dentist, the illusion is created that you are locked inside. In actuality, you can exit the escape room at any time by using the emergency stop present in every room in case of emergencies. There’s also constant supervision from outside via cameras and microphones placed throughout the escape room. All of our escape rooms completely abide by the legal requirements in terms of safety.
